Our coverage area is primarily agricultural and rural residential, therefore we only average approximately 55 to 65 runs per year. We protect 36 square miles in the South central portion of Whitley County. The Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department (WTVFD) is located in Whitley County, Indiana. House numbers shall be procured and affixed at the homeowners expense.Chartered from the Indiana Volunteer Fireman’s Association (IVFA) in 1955. Local ordinance 52-7 states that house numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height, clearly visible from the street and located below the outside light or more prominent place, if any.
